What A Photographer Suggests for a Seamless Photoshoot
1. Communication is Key:
Open a dialogue with your photographer. Share your vision, preferences, and any concerns you might have. Clear communication sets the stage for a personalized and comfortable photoshoot. Sharing images is sometimes a great way to do this. If you have seen an image you loved, you can share this with the photographer. And remember at Tall Angel Photography we are open to all interpretations of beauty and boudoir images whether that means donning a tall wig and elaborate dress to resemble a monarch of yesterday or jeans and an oversized T-shirt or a white sheet draped strategically, we love it all! We love celebrating the differences in visions of beauty!
2. Comfort Zones:
In addition to communicating what you like, don’t be afraid to communicate what you don’t like. Communicating any discomfort or boundaries to us is important. We will work with you on this so you can feel confidant, not worried. Respecting your comfort zone ensures a positive, fun, and empowering experience.
3. Wardrobe Selection:
Our session starts weeks before the shoot when we have a consultation on the clothes you are thinking about. Many women don’t know what they should wear but it is important to choose outfits that make you feel both comfortable and empowered. Also, think about lingerie, accessories, or personal items that hold sentimental value. Getting creative is always fun, I love when ideas come up that makes me stretch as a photographer, so don’t be shy to suggest. During the consultation we will let you know if we feel an item of clothing won’t work, however if it’s something you love I am always up for trying. I am always happily surprised when a piece of clothing works better than I think it will!
4. Professional Hair and Makeup:
Professional hair and make-up is always included in our sessions. A great photograph is dependent on many things – lighting, clothing attire and skilled make-up artists like ours who know how to accentuate your features, ensuring you look and feel your absolute best! So don’t worry about this one – we got you!
5. Details:
Don’t forget to get a manicure or pedicure. Small details like this give you the confidence you are looking your best! Waxing is also a great idea and will add to your confidence but do it at least 4 days in advance. Tanning though is usually not recommended – unless you are very experienced with this, it is usually best to forgo it!
